"When I first met Dr. Weiss I was impressed with his compassion and knowledge. As I got to know him better on succeeding visits I enjoyed his ability to focus completely on me and what I needed to know during my visit. His office staff was incredible. Very professional, competent and kind. Because of the increasing volume of patients involved in the Bassett Bariatric Program, some personal connection is lost. You need to be familiar with your own case and details in order to be specific on what you want. Dr. Weiss stresses the importance of having a good follow through and keeping vigilant on your diet. He encourages the attendance at the Bassett Bariatric Program's various support groups. He covers the risks of surgery completely and graphically and has a great deal of knowledge and skill. Although he could use some help in keeping his patients straight in his mind, (again the rising volume of patients serviced by his program is the main cause) he is a caring and competent surgeon.rn"
