>>>> 55lbs gone FOREVER<<<<

Feb 19, 2009

This weight loss thing is crazy! I just had my 90 day check up yesterday (even though it’s been 15 weeks) and I’m down 55lbs. NO REGRETS! Yes I get sick on occasion, I think that’s to be expected, especially when you try new things. Yes, I still have the nerve to wish the weight would come off faster… that just human imperfection. Deep down I think I’m losing my weight at an excellent pace. SUPPORT- My husband is awesome… he’s got my back… I LOVE YOU!

My husband is LOVING the new me, although he was madly in LOVE with the OLD me. What can I say… Smile! I’ll post some pictures after I lose 50lbs… that’s the plan anyway. Until next time…Take care and eat right!

Out of scale from 1-10 (10 being the worse) my pain was a 8. I walked and walked until I couldn't walk anymore and everyday I feel better and better! It's ONLY been six days and I've loss 14lbs... Holy Cow

>>>Meet Surgeon on Thurs 10/2/08<<<

Sep 26, 2008

I am so excited… I go to San Diego on 10/2/08 to meet my surgeon and complete my final pre op before my surgery.

I think I will be having my surgery in October for sure. Right before the Holidays… How cool is that! My mother in law is a caterer, she makes WATER taste good. NO extra pounds for me this holiday season.

I’ve completed my 24 weeks of Options classes. I’m so excited, I’m still a little impatient however I’m doing my best to keep it all together. The next step is to have my Doctor give an authorization # to Preventive Medicine so I can meet with the surgeon at Pacific Bariatrics in San Diego. Once they receive my paper work (approx a month) they will call me down to meet with the surgeon, psychiatrist etc…I will keep you all posted!

What a workup- 13 viles of blood, urine sample, ultra sound and EKG- All Done!!! How cool is that! Oh yeah and stool sample turned in as well. Now for the results: I have high cholesterol and gall stones; I would’ve never known. So it looks like the gall bladder will be taken out the same time I have the surgery. I have five more Options classes and then I’m done.

Positive Thinking

Mar 29, 2008

Okay… I’m well on my way. I just finished my 3rd Options Class that leaves me 21 more to go. I’ve gained about 10lbs, but since I’ve started these classes I’m back down 5lbs. I feel accountable and I want to try and get off as much as I can before my surgery. A few things have changed with my Kaiser class, they no longer require you to loose 10% of your body weight prior to surgery, however the surgeon could decide the day you meet to have you bring that weight down a peg or two so “if you stay ready, you ain’t got to get ready”. <------ That was Suga Free!! Hee Hee

Option Class#1- March 13, 2008

Jan 29, 2008

I checked my Kaiser site to see if I had any scheduled appointments and low and behold. My first Option class will be here in no time and I can’t wait. Oh boy… I’m so excited. Wow…I’ll be on the looser bench in no time. To all my OH Friends who told me to be patient, I Thank You.

So Cal Kaiser is...BACKED UP!!!

Jan 16, 2008

I called Kaiser today to see where I am on the waiting list to start my required six months of Options classes. Debbie kindly told me I should receive a letter in the mail in 3-6 months telling me when my class will start, and if I don’t receive a letter after 3 months (from 12/14/07) that’s when I should call back. I picked up my jaw and proceeded to tell her thanks for the info.

Why did I wait so long to get the ball rolling?? Oh yeah I didn’t have health insurance. Well I’ve officially started cutting back, since I decided to go through with the surgery I’ve used that as my ticket to eat what ever I want. I can’t go 3-6 more months at this rate. My heart will literally burst right out of my chest. Today I’ve started cutting back… I could loose 20-30 more pounds and still have no problem qualifying for the surgery.

Kaiser Orientation Class- 12/14/07

Dec 18, 2007

Yep it was an orientation. There were two speakers who basically gave us the history of the Gastric Bypass surgery… You can see one live on Jan 18, 2008 @ orlive.com, go to the website and request a reminder...I can’t wait.

Kaiser is so backed up that I may not be able to start my classes until some time in February or March of 2008. The demand is for evening classes and I think right now they only have about 1 or 2 a week. I think I’ll be okay… December is about to end… I have the New Year coming up January… My husband and I will have our 1 year anniversary in February , plus our son will be two February 28th.  I plan to be busy for the beginning of 2008- before I know it I will be starting my Kaiser classes.

I've put on about 20 extra pounds just since I received my referral and I know it's because I plan to have the surgery... Isn't the mind somthing?? I'll be on the looser side in no time.
