Sheldon Randall

"I had gastric bypass surgery with Dr. Randall in 2001. When my husband and I first met him., my husband asked what the biggest risk of the procedure was and Dr. Randall candidly said "death". I knew that this was a huge decision and life long commitment on my part and went through with the surgery. When I woke up in the recovery room., Dr. Randall was holding my hand and said, "Maureen - it's all over and you did great". I was in the hospital for only two days and on soft foods on day 5. I lost a total of 185 lbs. and kept it off until two years ago. I have become a "grazer" and as a result have gained 25 lbs. back. When I found out about Dr. Randall's license being suspended., I was shocked. ANYONE that goes through this surgery knows that there are substantial risks involved and while I feel awful for those that have lost loved ones., I am so thankful that I had him for a surgeon. He helped me get my life back and I am praying that the Board will reinstate his license soon. There isn't any other bariatric surgeon that I would feel comfortable going to except him. I haven't had any complications whatsoever in the 12 1/2 years since my surgery...."
