FRUSTRATED!!!

10/15/08

It seems that I get worse by the day.  I have to climb stairs to get to my job and I never realized how 18 stairs could kill a person!!!

I can't hardly breathe, my joints, back, hips hurt so bad and I think I have collasped the arches in my feet, not to mention it feels like I have spurs in my heels.  When I try to walk, the pain is so horrific that it knocks me down.

I get off work, I go home and want to be in bed by 7:30-8:00pm... and I think OMG... what have I let myself become.

My boobs and my stomach have become a shelf.  It is hard to sit @ a table and eat like a real human being with these huge boobs in the way...but I guess as much as my obesity has caused them to droop, I could just slow down, take a minute and push them to either side!! LMAO!!!  I gotta have a sense of humor... I think that's the one thing that can get me thru all of this nonsense, foolishness and mayheim (can ya tell I am a Niecy Nash follower?) hahaha!!

Some of the good ppl here @ OH have enlightened me into the 18 mo preop dieting.  They have given me a link that states Indiana will only allow the insurance companies to require 6 mo preop dieting.  I go see my dr. next Weds 10/22/08 so I can actually have it recorded.

My consult appt w/ Dr. Jones is 01/07/09.  I hope I can hold on that long.

I am not asking for WLS for vain reasons...if I don't get it...I WILL die!!!  My parents have already lost one child this year, I can not let them lose another one (I am the only remaining child in my family).

My hubby is FINALLY on board with this, but wants to make sure I can have WLS endoscopocally (not sure on the spelling).  He feels that it is safer and the recovery time it much quicker.

Something's got to give as I am gaining 5-10 lbs EVERY month!!!

Oh lord, please help me!

Here we go again!

Oct 09, 2008

10/10/08-  So here I start over again.  I just got new insurance as of 10/01/08 and in the policy it states:
...except that surgical treatment of morbid obesity will be covered              only if :
the morbid obesity condition has persisted for at least 5 years; and
for which nonsurgical treatment that is supervised by a physician has been unsuccessful for at least 18 CONSECUTIVE months.

Well, that's where they may have me... I have been morbidly obese my ENTIRE life and have tried every diet plan, strategy known to man EXCEPT WLS.  I have heard stories from other WLS  patients about the 18 consecutive months treatment before the insurance company would cover their WLS...but what if my physician didn't see me EVERY freakin' month and saw me every 2 months...

Anyway... I have an consultation appointment planned...I FINALLY have gotten THAT far.  My appt is schedule w/ RoseMarie Jones @ St. Vincents for 01/07/09.  I have already begun to complete all the paperwork her office has sent me, put in a request at my GP for my medical records and have consulted my insurance to see if she is in my network... we are a go on her being in my network.. YAY!

I'm so afraid about the 18 consecutive month thing.  I am actually stressing it....

Could write all day, but better get off to work.... YAY!!!  at least it's freakin' Friday at last....Good God Almighty it's Friday at last!!!

Write more later...
