Crozer Chester Medical Center

"During my pre-op work and during the morning of surgery the staff was helpful and informative and it was wonderful. It wasn't until I was admitted did I run into the issues. My day nurses were terrible. They were nice and friendly but they were often no where to be found and it would take 10-15 minutes for a response when I pushed the call button. When I would walk the halls to get blood circulating not one of the day nurses were friendly or warm or would even acknowledge me. At one point I had resorted to disconnecting one of my leads in hopes that someone would come assist me in going to the bathroom. Another instancemy day nurse forgot to give me my pain medication when I was due because I was asleep. I woke up an hour later and was in utter agony and in tears due to the pain. The assistants who took my vital signs were more of a help to me than my nurse was. On the flip side my overnight nurse was a God send she was so informative was able to explain everything that I might have been feeling and why it was occurring. Her name was Sharon, and she was so kind and friendly she would get me up and walk with me and remind me to breathe. She was wonderful and I thank God for her. She truly took care of me and I looked forward to her coming every night."
