Hi, I'm Teresa. I'm 37 years old and have struggled with my weight for the last 30 years. As a child I was always considered chubby. My early teens I vacillated between size 11-14. Since about the age of seventeen I have been 195lbs+++ and a size 14+++ at any given time. I've lost 50-100+lbs on more than one occasion. I've been on more than a dozen diets, Weight Watchers, Atkins, Medifast, private trainer, Diet pills etc., only to lose and then regain. So, I decided to have weight loss surgery. I chose the Gastric Sleeve.
I joined this forum about 3wks after my surgery date and am at 5wks now. Like most people I was nervous about having the surgery. So far everything has been a breeze for me! I had a little nausea and soreness the first two days after surgery, some nausea on and off while eating several weeks post-op, but everyday gets better! I would highly recommend the VSG to anyone who wants to lose weight.
