Today is my 1 Year Anniversary!!  Yay for me.  I had my one year check-up today also.  It went really well.  I am still losing a little bit of weight, but it is really slow now.  I am down to 164 (total lost of 121).  I am sitting here wearing a Medium shirt and size 12 pants.  So, I feel really good about where I am at.  I don't care if I don't lose much more, but would like to tone up what i have a little bit :)  Which brings me to my only negative - exercise.  I have got to figure out how to unblock my mind and get moving.  I am definitely more active than I used to be and I do exercise here and there, but nothing that is very regimented.  So, that will obviously be my goal now.

Well, over the weekend was my 10 month anniversary.  I am currently weighing in at 172, so only 2 pounds lost this last month.  I am really happy with what I am weighing now, so this is all right with me.  I would just love to tone my weight up a little, but am having a problem getting motivated to exercise.  Will have to work on that.  I have been very active though, so it's hard to be mad at myself.  Even though I have only gone down a few pounds, my clothes are fitting different, so the 14's in the pants are all getting a little loose.  So, I guess I am doing something still.  This weekend I worked at my son's cub scout camp all day long, so it was another "Yay! I can't believe I can do this now" kind of day.. :)

Celebrated my 9 month anniversary this week. I am currently weighing in at 174. That's 111 pounds lost. Currently wearing size 14 and Large. I did buy a dress for a wedding this weekend and it was a size 12.. I am very pleased with how things are going. I feel very normal now, I eat very normal - just a little bit smaller portions. I had my 9 month checkup and found that all the weight that I have been losing now has been fat - no lost muscle, so I must be doing something right. My team were very pleased with my loss right now. I am pretty much at their goal for me, so they said that any more that I lose (and I am still losing) would be just icing on the cake.

Well, earlier this week was my 8 month anniversary. I am currently weighing in at 180 pounds, so a 105 pound loss total. I am still dropping sizes, so even though the weight loss is very, very slow now, I am still seeing progress, which I like. I don't really have an official goal, but figure another 20 pounds would be perfect. I just started fitting into size 14 pants, so shopping is more fun (and more difficult deciding - so MUCH to choose from!!). Eating is going very well. I can eat about anything, don't have much problems anymore. I still do not try sugar or fat foods. I am still very happy to have done this, though and very pleased with the results.

Had my 7 month anniversary this month. I am currently weighing 185, which means I have FINALLY lost 100 pounds! Yeah!! I have been bouncing around all month, though and have not lost more than that. I sometimes think I have stopped losing and then will lose another pound here or there. I have definitely been slacking on exercise though, so I need to get back to doing that better. Eating is about the same. I pretty much eat what I want, try to watch fat and carbs. Still no sugar, though. Not even interesting in testing my dumping levels.. I have really been more active this summer, though, so life has really gotten better. I went shopping this weekend from about 10 in the am until about 5 pm and didn't have any problems with feet/back. So, even if I wouldn't lose any more weight, I have accomplished my major goal of being healthy and active.

Well, last week was my 6 month anniversary. I was weighing in around 192 at that time (93 pounds lost). I am currently wearing size 16 pants, L or XL tops. I am feeling great and making sure to exercise often. I am late in writing my update because we were in Las Vegas for vacation this last week. It was 105 there most days and I walked and walked and walked. Had a blast. I never could have done this a year ago, so I am very pleased with myself. I also had my 6 month check up and my Nut and Phys Asst were very happy with my progress also. I am not the poster child for the extreme diet, but I have found a way to eat that I can live with and what that is made them very happy. I still would like to lose another 40 pounds or so. But, to be honest, I am pretty happy already with how I look and feel.

Yesterday was my 5 month anniversary. Today I am weighing in at 200 pounds. Just 1 pound away from my first big goal. I haven't weighed under 200 pounds since High school, 15 years ago. This is such a good feeling. I am in size 18 (regular, not plus size) pants and XL shirts. It is really nice shopping in regular sized clothes. My closet is very empty, but I still hate to spend too much on clothes. So, a total of 85 pounds lost so far.

well, this Friday will mark my 4 month anniversary of my surgery. I am currently at 214 pounds (71 pounds lost). I am wearing size 18 pants and size 16 tops. I am feeling really good activity and health wise. Still having problems trying to find a good way to make protein shakes, but keeping at it. It seems to be going really slow right now, but the scale does keep going down - so I guess I can't complain. Last night I had my first dumping episode. On Sugar Free ice cream of all things. It was so severe that I was throwing up and feeling dizzy and then I passed out in my tiny little bathroom. I HURTtoday.. Lesson learned, though.. Getting very excited about spring and summer. Just went shopping this week for some capris since I have very little in clothes left (not a bad thing!) :)

Well, I didn't post on my 3 month anniversary - about 10 days late.. I weighed about 228 on that day, 220 today. I am pretty happy with the 65 pounds lost, but it seems really slow now. I am trying now to get in exercising and it is amazing to me how much I can do now. I just yesterday was able to wear a size 18 pants that I thought looked pretty good. I started in size 26, so that is a really neat thing. I was wearing pretty much the same clothes as before surgery until recently, but they are just getting too big now. I got a new bike for my birthday earlier this month, so I am just waiting for spring to show up to try to get out on that. We keep having horrible winter-like days here - in fact today it is about low 30's and snowing and it's March 24.. yuck. As far as eating, I am still eating mostly protein and really do not have problems with anything. Still cannot eat bread and try to make the meats moist, so that helps. I eat a lot of chili and chicken breast. I sometimes think that I am not doing well with grazing and with carbs, but then I will make a journal and see that I am doing pretty good. At least all my carbs are pretty much the whole grain, which is acceptable to my nut.

Today is my 2 month anniversary of surgery. I am down 46 pounds (from 285 to 239). I am finally consistently getting in enough protein (mostly from food) and water. The drinking water thing is going much better. It was so hard before, I would actually get too full to drink and it would hurt, but that has gone away. I am now getting kind of bored with food and finding it hard to decide what to eat - still doing mostly protein to make sure I get it in. I have added back a few carbs, mostly multi-grain crackers since bread makes my tummy hurt. This is according to my nut's plan. Her plan even includes things like baked potatoes and rice nightly - both of which I can tolerate, but do not eat consistently. I have noticed I am getting smaller, but not too big of a drop in clothes size. But, as of yesterday - I found my collar bones and I fit into theater seats with a little extra room. WOW, that was a nice feeling. Going on a trip this weekend and VERY excited about it. No kids or DH - just a girls weekend.
