Found out today that I have h pylori and that I have to take 2 weeks of antibotics to try to clear this up along with pepto bismol and prilosec.  It is rough. The flagyl(one of the antiboitcs) is bitter and makes me feel sick on the stomach.  I also found out that my thyroid is underactive so I am being started on thyroid medication. But I can't blame the weight on the thyroid because I had it tested last year and it was normal.  I have to go to UVA July 21, for more tests.  I just have to take it one day at a time....

Saw Dr. Schimer and he gave me lots of hope.  He thinks that I am a good candidate for either the lap band or the gastric bypass. he thinks that I will lose more weight and keep it off with the bypass. I am willing to try either i will have to wait and see what the insurance(pchp) says. keep your fingers crossed.... The insurance guy with Dr. Schimer says that he is doubtful the insurance will pay for either because i am not big enough...wtf... i am 242, have gained almost 100 pounds in 5-6 years, and have health issues what do they want for me to gain 100 more pounds and then come back . I am tired of feeling tired and fat. i want to get on with my life and feel better for me and my family. we will just have to wait and see...
