Hello All! I know it has been a long time since I have updated but things are well with me so far. I have lost a total of 105 and I am truly satisfied. I really don't want to loose any more though. I know the more I tighten up the smaller I will look. I don't want to be a string bean. Just healthier and happier. I have not had any problems so far THANK THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. Sorry I can not stay long. Just came through to let u know that I was ok..

It's been a while............But I am happy to say that I am doing just fine and am very happy with the results. I am now 215 lbs.....a few more and that will be 100 lbs. gone. I am not going to lie, I hate taking pills so I found myself slacking on my supplements. I started taking them again regularly it is very important. I don't like water but must drink as much a day as possible. I am going to get a b4 and after pic up real quick 4 u...I have no complaints except for the fact that I have to go clothe shopping for a whole new wardrobe. I know we women love to shop. But to need so many things at one time can swallow the money right out of your pockets....And last but not least I can't eat the foods that I want.....But that was the whole purpose of surgery so I AM NOT COMPLAINING!

Hiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!! I am feeling great. My weight loss is slowing down now. But u know what, if I don't loose another pound I am happy. I know I will though. Especially if I get my butt in the gym like I am suppose to. Well, I am down about 75bls now and I am very much so happy and more confident. Sorry I can't stay too long. Just wanted to say hello.

Wow!!! It has been a little while since I have update. Sorry!!!!!!!! I just have been trying to adjust to some changes and trying to get back in the groove of being at work as well as making sure that I am healing well. I am going to the doctor tomorrow for my first appointment since surgery. I am excited because I have not weighed myself since the day before surgery. I was 306. I feel great so far. Just trying to get use to the dicipline that comes along with it. My hardest thing is liquids I was a juice and soda freak but I had to cut that out. Water, water, water. I can't stand nutra-sweet so I have not been drinking diet anything; the after taste makes me nauseous. So I deal with the water and sometimes I drink watered down apple juice. Ok, I am not going to stay long but I will let u know how much I lost in three weeks when I get back from the doctor tomorrow.

Well, Tomorrow is my B-Day and I am excited I can see major results already. I will soon have Pics up, so don't worry. When I went to my first doc appointment. I had lost 20bls. By Now I am down about 25-30bls. WoooooooHoooooo!!!!! I tell u, everyone's experience is different. Some people still crave for the foods that caused us the weight gain, but me...I have only a few. I want a Milk Shake from Burger King sooooo baddddd!! But I refuse to put myself through the torture. Other than that, right now I don't really have the taste for fatty food or food to much. I basically eat b/c I know that I have to have some nutrients along with taking my vitamins and iron. I can finally sleep on my side Thank God!! Ok, I am going to go now. Hopefully I will have my pics ready the next time I stop by for the update.

Wow it has been 30 days since I have given u guys an update...My apologies..... ;-)
Well, let’s see..... I was 306bls. I am as of yesterday May 15, 2002...3 months post op. I am now down to 245bls. I have lost 61bls so far. I feel great and I must admit I look good too. U should see me. I hope to one day get some pics up for u, but until then please be patient. I knew I was going to be loosing weight but I really did not think it was going to happen this fast. I try and make sure I eat. I am going to get back on schedule with my water too. That is very important. I some times sneak some juice or some ginger ale. But that is very rare. I really don't have a taste for food but I know I need it... I take, multivitamins, calcium, and iron supplements. I also take a pill to raise my blood level and keep it going. U know after surgery that blood level is a major thing to keep up. But I must say as for me I don't have many complaints. I mean it is normal to sit in front of your plate and think u are going to eat it all and after a couple of bites have to wrap it up for later or tomorrow. I just drop by to let those of u that come by to visit me know how I am doing....I can not say it enough...Remember that everyone is different and do your research. Muah!!!!!!!!

Well, My big day is six days away. I am so excited that I can't even begin to be scared. I think I will get that feeling when I get to the hospital and see the whole picture. But for right now I am just overwhelmed and don't know what to do with myself. I am going to go to a famous restaurant called UNO'S PIZZERIA so I can eat some of the things that I won't be able to eat after next Friday. Guest what?? My cousin is coming up from Florida on Saturday and My aunt is cooking a big meal, and she can COOOOOOK! Banana pudding, um um um...pepper steak I could go one but I don't want u to stop reading to go eat so I won't lol. GUESS What?.. I won't be there :-(. I will be in the hospital:), but hey it will be well worth the miss. I know they will come visit me in the hospital so that is ok. Ok I will get back to u guys later. I might not get to u until after the BIG DAY!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK!!!!!!!!!!! Let me tell u guys how I was so nervous today when the nurse called me from the hospital. I though I was going to have to do the surgery myself LOL!!. There was some test that was supposed to be done to my blood that was not done. So I have to rush to the hospital on my lunch hours and get that done. Some how the tubes were not label correctly and the lab did not test the blood for clotting and something else, so I have to let them do it today so my surgery will still be on tomorrow. Well I guess this is it for now. I will talk to u guys next week to tell u how everything went and how I am doing. Later!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well....... It is 8:20pm and I am starting to get a little nervous, but with all the support and prayers I know the Lord will take control of the whole procedure. I want to take a moment to thank those of u who took the time out to wish me well and show your support. It is appreciated in a greatly!!! I am going to go now; I have to get ready for the morning. My surgery is scheduled for 7:30 am and I have to be there at 6:00am.
I wish all of U who have and will go through this experience the blessing of the Lord!

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am here to say that I am blessed of the Lord. He has taken me through and I am doing well at the present and have not had any complication except for THE DAY! which was the next day when I had to take an ex-ray. They made me drink this nasty thick syrup stuff so they could make sure everything went well and there were no leaks. Later that night I vomited after drinking some broth and trying to taste some sugar free Jell-O. I guess the taste of that nasty syrup and the Nutra sweet taste from the Jell-O was not mixing. But I will be on later to give u more. Bless U all !!!!!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon!! I am doing well and feel well, a little weak though, but that goes without saying. I must say my surgeon Dr. Marina Kurian is GREATTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!. My hospital stay at Lenox Hill was a wonderful stay. The staff is 1 in a million. So far I have not experienced much pain. OF COURSE IT HURTS!!!. But if the staff where your admitted give U pain meds on time. Your pain should be minimized almost to nothing. The scariest time it getting up for the first time and when u do, it is not bad. It is just the gravity that makes u feel slight pain. (Keep in mind everyone is different.) I was overwhelmed at how my Family and Friends came to see me with balloons and get well cards it really kept me strong and I must add that my roommate was the best.

I have not taken a pain med since Tuesday and I only took one to make sure I did not feel anything (mind u I came home on Monday) but every since then I felt no pain just a little discomfort once in a while. So I will update u if there r any changes and if there r none between now and a month I will let u know my weight progress. BYE BYE!

Well I've seen the Psychologist, Nutritionist, and the Primary. Now all I have to do is get my Upper EGD and my letter of approval from my insurance company in the mail. Then is Feb 15, here I come. So everyone who passes by my page please pray for me that I will be approved with no problem and that everything goes well.

Well, here I go. Today is the day that I have the Egd. I am a little nervous about the tube, but I thank God that they will sedate me. My app is at 2:30pm which means that I have to starve and thirst until at least an hour after. The starvation part is not too hard, but I am thirst bug. So that will be the hardest part, just thinking about an Ice cold soda or some iced tea. Well, enough of that. I will tell you guys how it went when I get home and situated.

Ok. That is all done. I went to the Egd Doctor. They could not find my veins properly to put me to sleep. So I took it the hard way. He gave me some fluid to numb my throat, but that was not good enough for me. He stuck the tube down my throat and I was gagging for dear life. The good thing is it only last about 3 minutes the most. It was not as bad as I thought. He said I was the bravest patient he had that day. Now that is over with and all I have to do is get a chest x-ray and I am done until February 15 :)!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Ok, I went to have my Chest x-ray done today. Now I am all finished and approved. Now I just have to make sure my primary and all the other doctors fax over my results to my surgeon. I am only two weeks away from my big day. I received a call from my surgeon's office and they wanted to know if I wanted to move my date up a week. OOHH boy how I wanted to!!!!!. But that time is already set aside for time off at work, plus there are some things I want to do first. So until later Pray for me.!!!! I will keep u posted.
