Hello everyone! Please allow me to share this journey with you

I can't believe that I am finally posting here!  I have been searching for information and friends to talk to who would be able to help me along this path that so many of you have already taken (and have won the battle!)  I am 36 years old and am married with three little ones.  Ryan is 9, Riley is 4 and our baby girl Rorie is 2.  I have a sweet, supportive husband named Rick, who is also going to eventually have wls too.  I am so anxious and well, actually getting quite impatient with this whole waiting process!!  I thought that since I started this process about three months ago.....that this would be my last miserable summer, yet....here I am, still heavy!  Ugh!

I have read through like 3 or 4 of your "blogs" and noticed that most of you guys are rny patients.  I considered gastric bypass about three years ago,  but am now thinking that the band is the better option for me....

I am a dental hygienist and I work 3-4 days a week.  My son Ryan is on the travel team, so we have soccer 5 times a week.  I (obviously) have an incredibly difficult time keeping up with him....let alone the two little ones!  I have tried every diet out there, multiple times.  The diets did work, but only for a short time.  I keep regaining the weight PLUS more everytime.  I have no other choice and wls is completely rationalized in my mind as the right thing to do for MYSELF and family.   I am considered a "lightweight", which totally cracks me up.  I am 5 foot 2 and am 205#.  I have sleep apnea, ankle and other joint problems, etc....my point is, my health is going down hill FAST and I have to get control.  My doctor keeps telling me "just to lose wieight" and all my problems will go away.  That sounds great, but it's not that easy.  Theoretically, I should weigh 115 and that would allieviate apnea, joints, incontinence issues, limbido issues, anxiety and depression issues, etc....You guys already know all of this, it's just general information.  I guess the reason I am telling you this is because so many people just blow me off as a "light weight".  I would just like to have some friendships with people who have or are experiencing the same kind of things.
!!
Okay, I tend to talk a lot trying to explain my feelings.  Please forgive me and my lengthy explainations!

I am just anxious to get to the point where I can enjoy all of the things that I use to.  I really didn't have a real weight problem until 1996.

Well I hope everyone continues to live happily ever after, I will keep you all in my prayers (I do a lot of praying....so that is good!)

I will share more as soon as I find out what insurance is going to do with me! haha.  I will also try to get a picture up as soon as I can.  Have a great day!!  Tricia
