4 Months Post-op !!!!

It has been a while since I've added any info so here I go ! Since my last entry, I had a very bad viral infection that took almost 6 full weeks to get rid of. I had to go to work but that was all I had energy for. Despite this fact, I have lost 62 lbs
since my surgery.................I am so excited !!!!! Now I've just got to get in the exercise

Well, I made it to 2 months. It is amazing how fast time goes. My 2 month weigh in showed that I've lost 44.5 lbs since the surgery. Have had some instances of eating too fast/ drinking too fast and getting that horrible feeling of nausea. That is always a humbling experience !!!!!
I just have to do better about the exercise; I know that the weight comes off faster when you move !

It's been a while since I've updated my continuing journey so here it is.....
I have had a month of adjustments; to drinking liquids (and how much is too much ! ), swallowing meds and getting the pills stuck (OUCH !!!)and learning to eat all over again. As you can see above, I'm down 29.5 lbs in just under 4 weeks post-op..........YAHOO !!!! The PA in Dr. Floch's office was very pleased :<)
I start Stage 5 foods tomorrow so I'm on my way. Also went to my first Post-Op support group last night which was awesome. Support is so important during your journey; it reminds you that you are not alone.

Well I have arrived to the eve before surgery once again. Never unpacked from the first try on Tuesday. My stomach has butterflies in it; of course that could be from 7 days on a clear liquid diet :<( In retrospect, it has been quite a journey thus far. It's hard to believe that I started this journey back in August 2006; Dr. Floch came up to the valley to discuss WLS options and I knew then that this is what I needed to do to become healthy !
As I prepare for tomorrow, I pray that the Lord will watch over Dr. Floch and his surgical team.

Surgery Postponed

My surgeon was ill today so we are going to try again on Friday at 10:30 AM. I was so psyched to finally get to the surgery date that it was a huge disappointment !!!! Thank God that my husband was there because I was beside myself. So I guess that it's 3 more days on the clear liquid diet, YICK !
I'll be so glad when I can have something to eat that doesn't " wiggle and jiggle".
Well, the countdown begins again............

I can't believe how fast the time has gone. This time next week the surgery will be done and a new life begins. I have a great surgeon and I'm sure everything will go fine. So why do I feel so anxious ??? Is there anyone that is about to have gastric bypass or has recently had one done ? I would love to hear from you if you have.

Well, 2 weeks until I have my gastric bypass surgery. I'm really excited but also a little scared. On Jan. 2nd I start my new journey. If anyone has advice or words of support, I could sure use them now !!!
