"I'll be honest, when I first met Dr. Mandelbaum I was a little concerned about him being my surgeon because he seemed a bit...cold...for a lack of better words. I did a lot of research and talked to everyone I could and the response was overwhelming...Despite the fact that Dr. Mandelbaum doesn't seem like much of a "people person" he is THE BEST at what he does. I couldn't agree more with that opinion. Dr. Mandelbaum is a wonderful, highly skilled surgeon. He's pretty conservative, especially in terms of post-op care, but for me personally that was something I could appreciate. If you're looking for a rainbows and kittens doctor, Dr. Mandelbaum probably isn't the surgeon for you. He's definitely not one to sugar-coat anything, but again, I can really appreciate his honesty. I only met with him one time before the day of my surgery and I was completely comfortable with that-I knew I was in great hands. His bedside manner is nothing to brag about, but as far as surgical competence goes, he's fantastic. I would definitely recommend him to anyone considering weight loss surgery in the greater Indianapolis area. "
