3 weeks post op
Sep 19, 2012
Here I am 3 weeks post op and still feeling yucky ... I went back to work last week exactly two weeks after and probably should have taken some more time off. I ended up back in the ER over this past weekend with pain and very dehydrated. They found my colon was inflammed after doing a CT scan ... I feel like I just can't catch a break. I am still struggling to get in all of my protein and fluid.
I can barely eat anything everything I try and eat or drink make me super nauseated. ON the up side I lost 30 pounds before surgery and another 15 since so that is 45 pounds gone bye bye ... that makes me a happy camper!

Pre-op Diet
Aug 12, 2012
So I have been on a semi pre-op diet for the past week and a half and start my liquid pre-op diet tmrw 8/13 for two weeks before surgery. So far I am down 10 pounds. I have cut sugar out and am struggling but so far have been able to overcome the temptation.
My physician has me on the the optifast 800 for my preop diet. Surgery has been scheduled for 8/28/12. Getting excited but still a little nervous.

It's happening all so fast...
Jul 21, 2012
In the past couple of months I have managed to completed all of my pre op stuff like labs, ekg, nutrition eval, psych eval, etc.. I went to the group orientation last week 7-17-2012 and already received a phone call from the surgeons office for an appointment on Aug 2nd. They are tentatively scheduling surgery for the week of Aug 27th ... I am now a little freaked out because It's all happening soooo fast. I start my pre op diet on July 23rd and then will have to do the two week one before surgery.
