July 2012 update

Jul 26, 2012

Well OH family,  a few more years have passed and I have mostly been able to keep my weight off. Currently my weight is 169.   I am now 5 years post op and I small amounts of weight have been creeping back.  I don't know if its stress or my pouch strecthing out too much.  I have an appt to go for my annual visit with my surgeon  in 3 weeks.  I have to find out what's going on.    Other then that everything is great!   Still having a wonderful time and enjoying my life.   Big ups to everyone who has reached  their goal.  Keep up the good work.  I know I will :)

July's Update

Jul 13, 2009

It's been awhile since I've updated my blog.  Just added some great new photos to the profile.   No skin has been removed but I am thinking about it later on down the line. As far as the little one......I lost  the baby  on March 29th due to complications.   Good news is......As of today I am 15 1/2 weeks pregnant and doing very well.  baby is due on January 10, 2010.   Hopefully everyone will keep us in your prayers and everything will be ok.  Blessings!

22 months post opt & 6 wks Preg.

Mar 14, 2009

I am almost 2 years post opt and now I am 6 wks 3 days prego.  I am so excited!  My husband and I are really looking forward to our sweet little bundle of joy.  I already have one son who is 12yrs old and 2 step-daughters age 6 and 3.  We are raising all three kids together and they are also very excited about our new edition to come.  I had my first OB visit yesterday, and my husband and I were both nervous that we may have twins on the way.....but the Dr. did the ultrasound and only saw  one little sac.  So no worries!    Everything is going well with the baby and I look forward to keeping updated post throughout my pregnancy.

Almost Christmas 08

Dec 21, 2008

Its almost christmas and I have to say that I feel really Blessed and thankful for being able to acheive so much this year.  I feel good. My current weight has been stable at 140 lbs.  I am wearing a size 7/8 comfortably and I enjoy being  able to buy a new waredrobe.  Funny thing is I still have a lot of my plus size clothes lying around that I need to get rid of.   I guess I am just so used to the things I used to have.

All in all life is sweet!  I am a very happy newlywed and I pray that things will just continue to go well

ITS MY 1ST ANNIVERSARY! :)

May 05, 2008

I HAVE REACHED MY 1 YEAR MARK AND  IT SURE IS WONDERFUL!  TO DATE I HAVE LOST 121 LBS.    MY CURRENT WEIGHT IS 152.  IT IS UNBELIEVEABLE.  I WAS WEARING A SIZE 22/24 AT THE TIME OF MY SURGERY AND NOW I WEAR A SIZE 9/10 OR 11.  ITS THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO DO THINGS THAT YOU COULDN'T DO FOR SO MANY YEARS.  I HONESTLY FEEL GREAT.  I AM ABLE TO EAT DIFFERENT FOOD WITH NO PROBLEMS.  I AM ENJOYING LIFE AND FAMILY.  I AM GETTING MARRIED THIS UP COMING AUGUST 2008, AND I WAS SO EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO TRY ON A DRESS THAT WAS A SIZE 9/10 AND IT FIT SO NICELY.  :)  THERE ARE A FEW SMALL DOWN FALLS LIKE LACK OF ENERGY, LOW IRON LEVELS AND FATIGUE AT TIMES BUT USUALLY I AM JUST FINE.  WELL THAT'S MY UPDATE FOR NOW.  NEW PICTURES TO COME.   BYE EVERYONE!

5 Months Post Opt

Oct 05, 2007

Well I am now 5 months out and I am 78 lbs lighter.  Things are getting better as time goes on.  I can now keep food down  and the nausea is becoming less and less.  This is great!  I can not believe that I went to the store and brought of pair of 14 jeans.  I did not expect that I would be in that size so fast.  Mentally it is hard not to pick up items in the plus size section.  I'm just so used to going right over to the clothing rack and looking for a 2x or a 3x.  Everything I have in my closet is just falling off of me.  Like I said already.....ITS GREAT!  Completely amazing!   I am so thankful that I went through with the surgery and gave myself another chance to enjoy living life!  God bless!!!

36 pounds Lighter and counting.!

Jun 20, 2007

Today I am 6 1/2 weeks post op and I feel pretty good.  I have done bloodwork and all my levels seem to be great.  I don't feel as fatigued all the time and I am starting a regular workout routine.  Only problem I am dealing with now is the daily vomiting spells.   I am having a hard time keeping down stage four foods.   I make sure that I chew my food up well and take my time......But I still end up in the bathroom puking it up.   Maybe I am moving to fast.   I also still can't keep the Whey protein down...but I have tried soy and it seems to be ok.  It will take some time before I make it up to 80 grams a day though.  I am lucky to get in 30.

WOW 10 DAYS AFTER SURGERY

May 14, 2007

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT IS HAS BEEN TEN DAYS SINCE MY SURGERY.   THIS HAD TO BE ONE OF THE BIGGEST DECISIONS I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE.  I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW I AN SUPPOSE TO FEEL AT THIS POINT.   I HAVE NOT HAD MANY PROBLEMS SO FAR.  MOST OF THE PAIN US JUST DULL ACHES HERE AND THERE.  I STILL FEEL TIRED AND EXHAUSTED PERIODICALLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY WHICH WORRIES ME.  I DON'T GO SEE THE DOCTOR UNTIL NEXT WEEK....BUT I HAVE ALREADY LOST ABOUT 17 POUNDS.  IS THAT GOOD OR BAD THING?  I AM LOSING TO FAST?
