Margaret, 43 lbs. in 2 months in a wonderful loss! Don't compare yourself to others, and ask yourself, when was the last time you were able to lose 43 lbs. in 2 months? It's so easy, especially after putting your body through the trauma of surgery, to get depressed early on, but be reasonable, Margaret, you are doing terrific! Try to increase your walking, and make sure you are eating enough protein (at least 50 grams a day), these two things, along with drinking at least 64 ounces of WATER a day, will kick start your metabolism. Some of us will lose a little bit slower than others, but ultimately, the weight will come off, be patient and think about all you've accomplished so far.
