7-19-02 Got my first consultation date of 9-18-02 Wish me luck!
11-20-02 Insurance received my letter on 10-28-02 by certified mail. I called today and I'M APPROVED !! Now to get ahold of the DR. and get a date! I'm soooo excited!
12-10-02 I have a surgery date of 1-30-03 WOO HOO!!
2-6-03 woo hoo I'm on the losing side! went to the Dr on tuesday (5 days out) and I had dropped 11 lbs. She took out my drain tube and I feel sooo much better! I was only in the hospital 2 days , they kicked me out on Sat to save their carpets! LOL
3-29-03 I'm down 43lbs now! Feel pretty darn good! Clothes are really getting baggy, hehe. I have had no trouble at all, except for an occasional quesy stomach and constipation. Never had any dumping, of course I'm not looking for that experience either! I am soooo glad I had this surgery, and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
5-4-03 Thought I would update again, I'm down 60lbs now! Halfway to my goal of 120lbs! WOW! I can't hardly believe it! I can eat just about everything I've tried except chicken. Sometimes it hurts and comes back up. But I would rather eat steak anyways, LOL. So far I've had no problems eating steak, just chicken.....go figure. My sister had her surgery the day after mine, she has trouble eating chicken also, but can eat steak too with no problems. The quezy feelings and constipation are a lot better now, especially since I eat more fruit now. I am still glad I had this surgery!
7-31-03 Hi everyone! Down 80lbs so far and feeling great! Loosing a bit of hair though, guess it comes with the territory! Still glad I had this surgery! My youngest sister had her surgery on 7/16/03 at Wishard. Bad mistake. She ended up having more surgeries to correct the mistakes they made. She is finally home and doing pretty good now.
10-15-03 Hello everybody! Thought I would check in. I have lost a total of 92lbs so far. Really seems to be slowing down. Hair loss has almost stopped now. Still feeling great, can eat almost anything I want.
11-13-2008 WOW! Haven't been on here for years! Still doing great!
and maintaning pretty good. Wish I could lose about 35 more pounds. Also would love to have tummy tuck, etc. I still feel fat and flabby, but my health is fantastic. Blood pressure runs about 117/72 as compared to 157/105. I can eat most anything I want now with no problem. "Just not as much" hehe!

Had my initial consultation today with Dr. Rosemarie Jones. Very informative. She took the time to talk to each one of us. I am going to have the Lap surgery done. Just waiting on my medical nessecity paper for insurance now. :-)) 2-14-03 I had my surgery on 1-30-03 with Dr. Rosemarie Jones. She is the BEST!! Very sweet and caring!

I called once after 2 wks and no decision made yet. Called the 3rd week and it had already been approved. They told me a letter is on it's way to inform me of this decision. I sent my letter by certified mail, I think that helped.
