Back home from surgery

well, after loosing 90 pounds, my OBY found a fibroid (huge one) and needed inmediate removal, Thanks God it was found. Now, at least 8 weeks of recovery. Hopefully not excersicing wont make me gain weight!

Preparing to travel, after loosing 75 pounds, about to feel icredibly normal, by sitting without asking for a seat belt extension. I still have two week to go, and get ready, family and friends (and old flames) will see me for the first time in many years.

What works for you? On my job, we share the things that work for every office, it gaves everyone the opportunity to learn from others, get ideas or develop your own, to help each other to achieve a goal. I our daily life this should be an option, it would help us keep an open mind status and avoid falling in the same routines that may lead us down the hill instead of up the hill. Are we eating the same food over an over again? Are we looking for new options to stay motivated? New ways to cook and present the food? Sometimes a small change makes a big impact. So lets get this wave started!!!! Looking forward to learn from you.
For example if I feel that I am getting tired of yogurt I add some brown rice with almond and dried cramberies that I buy at Cotsco(of course is just some crumbles, not too much that will ruined my intake), I also do something similar if I feel overwhelmed with the milkshakes or powder protein mixes, I add 1/4 cup of fat free no sugar added Turkey Hill icecream or frozen yogurt.

I end 2011 shy 5 pounds to my goal, I keep going strong, fighting a really bad cold, finally under 200, hope to be at 180 soon

ok, so is my 2nd day at work, difficult to zip all day and to have meals ready to go. But i am trying my best, two days without the gym and i am stressing.

Size change, back to work & self image

I was getting ready to go back to work today, so it occur to me to fix my clothes for the week, so I decided to try them on first, to my surprise(even thought I know that I lost 35 pounds) I didn't really believed my body had changed. I just spend Saturday afternoon fixing clothes and reducing from a size 22 to 18, I couldn't belive it, I don't understand why our brain blocks the new images, the changes. My daughter ask me why I didn't took pictures trying the clothes on...the answer is easy, due to shame. I don't even want to see my self in pictures, I am trying to work on this issue, hopefully I will overcome this. My day at work was not that bad, but is difficult to stay in the same timeframe and pattern I had at home, specially drinking and zipping. I will try my best to keep it up.

HI to all, I was wondering, base on each individual experiences; which are the best foods, products or places for bariatic patients, including dining out? Have you encounter places that won't accomodate your request when asking for the food the way that you want?
