2011...Might as well start Blogging
Jan 01, 2011
I cannot believe that I have gone all this time without ever starting a blog...I mean I read other peoples and always think to myself, I have so much to say, I should start a blog some day...so a new year will bring a new goal, to keep an online memoir of the things (good and bad) that happen to me this year.
It's New Years day, and last night was amazing! I think that since having my surgery on 12/1/10 I have learned some incredible new things about myself. #1 I have amazing friends and family who are so super supportive of me and my decision. #2 I do not have to drink to have a fabulous time and be easygoing and full of laughter. #3 I can walk past a table full of delicious finger foods and not eat any of them...and i will not die!
I attended two different parties last night. the first was a smashing 1980's party thrown by two of my very best friends. It was so fun to wear leg warmers and tights and a side swept ponytail. The music was rockin' and my friends are all just such a fun group of people to be around. We could only stay a couple hours as I had my two year old twins to get back to, and so we made it back to my In-laws home, where we commenced with our party stop for the rest of the evening. The house was filled with fabulous family, great friends, lots of alcohol and good food. I actually avoided the alcohol station pretty much altogether, i figured that was the smartest thing for me to do, as I could practically feel my veins warming up with the thought of my traditional Crown and Coke. The food was a little different, I ate two party meatballs and was completely satisfied, interesting how I didn't feel too deprived by not eating all the amazing goodies surrounding me.
My daughters actually made it up until Midnight with us, and I couldn't imagine ringing in the new year with Two more perfect little people.
I am hoping that 2011 will bring me a year of greatness. I realized that I don't really have any resolutions this year, which actually feels sort of liberating. Just looking forward to a year of happiness, health and watching my babies grow up even more!
