Hi as you can see my name is Wendy..Ive been over weight most of my life... sure I've lost some..but always gained it back and then some. Its been a long struggle just to find information about having surgery out of Canada. I am just waiting for OHIP to respond back to me, to let me know if Im approved for Out of Country surgery or not..crossing my fingers and toes..lol If I waited to have it done in Ontario..I would be looking at,at least a 3 yr wait. bah humbug..lol wish me luck on my long journey.!!
Wow! 3 weeks and I got approved..whooohooo...my surgery date is Oct29/04

Well it is now Sept./05 11 months since my surgery...I am down 117 lbs and went from a tight 26 to a 14/16 clothes..gotta love it..now I am looking into getting a tummy tuck...over all Ive done well with the loose skin other then on my tummy..I hope I qualify for a tummy tuck..lol
Update April 27/06..it has now been 1.5 yrs since my surgery,I am down 133 lbs. Size 9/10. I work out every day at the gym. I just started inline skating since the weather has been nice and loving it. I went snowboarding this winter. I love the energy I have now since I've lost weight. I still haven't checked into getting a tummy tuck,but I do plan to maybe after the summer.
