1 year 4 months later!

Feb 10, 2012

Well, it has been awhile since I have been on this website. And actually I am disappointed in myself. It seems that since I was last on here which was when I was 9 months post op I have only lost 7 pounds from 9 months to 16 months. Which I am only 4 pounds from my goal weight, but I wanted to be at goal at 1 year, but it just didn't happen for me. I have had absolutely no complications with my surgery, and I am very happy that I did this. And I will just have to work harder to get these last few pounds off.

7 months post-op

May 17, 2011

Well, 7 months have went by quickly, and I am now 82 pounds lighter! I went to the doctor last week and he said I was doing great, and all my bloodwork, except my B12 was perfect! I just had to start on B12 shots! but everything else was great! I am so thankful for the weight I have lost! I feel so much better that I have in years! I have kind of been at a stall for the last week or 2 it seems like I have lost and regained the same 3 pounds over and over,so I have had to step up my exercise, and I think I am finally getting over it, but that has been very dicouraging!

5 months out

Mar 09, 2011

Well, this week was my 5 months anniversary! I have now lost a total of 70 pounds. I am currently wearing a size 14 and even some size 12 jeans and a Large shirt! I can not believe how much my life has changed in just 5 months! I still have 50 or so pounds to go, but I know that I can do it! I would even be happy at 150 pounds, but in order for my BMI to be in the normal range I need to weigh 131 or less, so I guess that is my ultimate goal to be in the normal BMI range! I am so thankful for the opportunity that I have been given!

4 months out

Feb 11, 2011

Well, this week was my 4 month surgiversary, and I have now lost 54 pounds! I am now in a size 14 jeans! I can not believe that! I haven't been in a size 14 in forever! I am so proud of myself! Actually from the 1st time I went to the doctor I have went from 251 pounds, to now 188! That is alot of weight! Actually 63 pounds! That is absolutely amazing! Sometimes I feel like I am losing so slow but then I really have to look at my journal and regroup and realize that I am doing super good! I get discouraged sometimes, but then I just have to get back on board, and refocus! I will be so glad when spring gets here it will be alot easier to get in the exercise! I have so much more self confidence that I have had in a long time! I went and got my hair colored for the first time, I am so proud of the new me that I have become!

3 months out

Jan 18, 2011

Well ,today is my 3 month anniversary! I am down 45 pounds. I now weigh in the 100's. I hope to never see a 2 as the first number in my weight ever again. I am doing pretty good with things. Some days it seems really hard! I have to get more on a schedule of eating. I have been out of work for the whole month, and I just went back this week, and when I am at home, I definetly seem to find myself eating more often. I go back to the doctor Thursday for my 3 month post-op appointment. For some reason I am kind of nervous about it. I am not sure why. I think because I feel like I should be losing more! I am very proud of my loss up to this date, but I know I could be doing better, also! I am really going to try more, but I am now in a size 16 jean and a Large shirt, where before I was in a 20 jeans and a 2x shirt! And I most definetly feel so much better than before, but I just want to do better!

2 months since surgery

Dec 14, 2010

Today is 2 months since my surgery, and I am down 36.2 pounds. I have not been doing everything I am suppose to be doing, or I know I would be doing better! I feel great! I have not been walking it is way too cold outside for that! We have had about 5-6 inches of snow this week, and I freeze to death anyway, so I definetly am not getting out to walk in it! I still have a long way to go, but I know I am going to do it!

Almost 3 weeks out! And I feel great!

Nov 06, 2010

Well, I am almost 3 weeks out, and I am down 18 lbs, and I feel great! I can't believe how much better I feel already! I feel like my weight loss is going slow, but I am satisfied! Everytime I start to stress about it I just think I have never lost 18 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks before, then I feel better! I started walking some this week, and that is a big deal for me, before I could walk about a lap and be so tired I could just collape, but now I have walked 3 without stopping and could walk more, but its very cold outside! And I had to get my daughter in out of the cold! I go back to the doctor this Thursday for my 3 week post-op appt. And I look forward to it. I have been eating some regular food, and have not gotten sick at all! So, thats wonderful! I am so proud that food is already not my soul thoughts! Now I have to make myself eat, where before thats all I thought about was the next meal! There are a few things I miss! Mostly potato chips! They were always my favorite! but so far I have resisted them! And I am proud of myself for that! I just can't believe how already my body is starting to change, and how much better I feel! And I got in a pair of my regular blue jeans Thursday! That was one of the first goals I wanted to achieve, and I did it in 2 1/2 weeks. They are still size 20 but I couldn't even get into a 20 unless they were stretch pants, and I refused to go up another size, so I just bought 20 stretch, but these were regular blue jeans size 20! yay me! This was a BIG deal for me!!!
