And tomorrow is the day. Surgery is at 8 in the morning. I'm nervous, but I'm also hopeful. Just need to pack and I'm ready to go.

My appointment with the social worker had to be reschdueled. So now as long with the class/seminar thing I won't see the sw until October. Quite a ways away. But I'm hoping that time will pass by rather quickly. I did have my appointment with the dietician though. It went really well. She was impressed with my knowledge on the surgery. What can I say, I've been researching this for years. It's not something I take lightly.

Now I just got to figure out how to go schdueling the rest of the appointments. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to make them now, or wait until I'm done with the other appointments in October. I'm all confused.

Finally! A couple of weeks ago I recieved notice of appointment dates concerning surgery. I had a date for consult, and it was on Friday. The appointments for the social worker, dietitian are not until late August and the class isn't until September. But after that I can make an appointment to see an internist (I don't know how soon that will be though) and a follow up appointment with the surgeon to get a date for surgery.

I just hope that everything goes well. I just don't want to get my hopes up in case that things just don't work out (again). I'm also not sure how things will go with the social worker or internist. I'm hoping I'll get the green light from them, but who knows? I'm just a huge worrier sometimes, I know I need to stop it though.

And I'm still waiting. I am really frustrated with this. I see people being referred weeks and months after me having their consultations and even surgeries before me! I've been trying to get this to happen for almost 2 years now. I think it's time I just throw in the towel and accept this is how I'm supposed to be. I mean, what else am I suppose to think?

It's frustrating as hell and no matter how much I contact these places, talk to my doctor, etc. Nothing happens and nothing changes. I feel absolutely defeated.

It has been four months since my doctor sent a referral to the clinic in Hamilton. I did get a call on Thursday, but it wasn't from the doctors secretary. it was from the research coordinator. I don't know how but someone my referral ended up with her. The conversation I had left me rather confused.

Although I was told to give the doctors secretary a call to get something faxed to my doctor. I think it was a questionnaire or something. I did phone them, but I still haven't heard back. I'll possibly give the clinic another call tomorrow. I just find it a little frustrating that it seems like I keep going in circles.
