Hello Will....Your Mom's remark was hurtful no doubt about that. Don't take it to heart too much, your Mom has seen you try and try again. There is so much negative publicity about WLS out there, maybe she is just afraid to see you fail again. But you know better. Pamper yourself, do what your surgeon tells you, eat right and you will lose the weight!! Best wishes. LOVE & PEACE

Hi Will, Yeah, OK Mom! She's just being a "MOM". She can't help herself. You are very emotional right now and need an extra dose of understanding, support and TLC and her remarks are cutting deeper than usual. Just smile to yourself and SHOW THEM ALL your medium to small bones....in fact go measure your neck, wrists and ankles now and do it again in 6 months. I have a diamond necklace and braclet that I can't wear anymore but back 60 lbs ago, they were loose on me. So your Mom just might really think you have big bones....just a thought. Remember, you are not alone! We are here for you and we have MANY BIG SHOULDERS AND BIG HEARTS!!! BIG HUG! Carol Percel

Willianette I thought I had big bones but with a 70 ld. wt. loss I see my bones are normal and so are your's.You WILL make it to you goal. My mother also said little thing's that hard me too but she alway's been that way and she's not going to change ways. She is just getting old. My sister wt.125 and I did wt. 235 and my father and mother are both normal wt' One of my mothers favorite saying was to introducing me to someone and saying this is my baby.( Baby elephant that is but I love every ounce of her). Well she's got 1120 less ounces to love. My mother has always been opinionated and speaks her mind and says hurtful things to everyone. That has taught me a lot. Like to be more compassionate to others feelings. See you later in the future. Charlene

October 13th Dear Willianette: Greetings! Read your post concerning Mother's comment to you; Change is so scary; Mom is just reacting to the recent changes you've made concerning weight-loss-surgery. You've exhibited a lot of courage by having this surgery----that's got to scare her---her baby is a changing-----and mom's not controlling those changes........anyway, just a thought. Don't allow your mom's fears to control your thoughts or actions! Sincerely, Lori Ann
