Well I decided this is the first blog I would post! I am almost done with all of the preoperative requirements, only have one weigh in, second nutritional consult, and 6 month follow up with my surgeon left until all have been met! I am so excited because in one week from today I will be done, it will all be in God's and the insurance company's hands! On that note I am scared to death of being denied! I am counting on this sooo much! I want to be healthier for my daughter, I want to have self confidence again in order to be able to start dating, I want to have the energy I need to take good care of my patients! I have so many mixed emotions about this right now, but not one of them is doubt about if lap band is right for me! I know it is! I know with my lifestyle a lot will have to change! I will have to make time to take care of myself and work out, be it me getting up at 430am and working out or staying up later whatever it may be I have to figure out that routine that will work for me! I also know that now more than ever I will have to focus on nutrition as a way to fuel my body. My family has major issues with food we live to eat not eat to live and that is something I am determined to change!!! As of now it is my most challenging war! I want to look on the outside like I feel on the inside! I want my patients to know that not only do I talk the talk but I walk the walk!!! I have a support group meeting this Thursday and absolutely can not wait! I love my meetings! I will let you all know what I find out and please keep me in your prayers and I will do the same with all of you!!!!
