What a relief to have the surgery already. I'm only able to sip water right now but I will get past this. Gas pains are getting better. I'm up moving being as active as possible for now.

I am so thankful to receive my surgery date. May 20 is the big day! I know that the sleeve is the tool that I need to help me get healthy. I've lost weight on my own but never enough to be healthy. I see this as a blessing and I will not take it for granted or not follow the guidelines set by the Surgeon. Dr Lowe has my respect and I know this is all going to be alright and I will lose weight and hopefully no longer be a diabetic. 

Starting today I am going to journal every bite that I eat and every thing that I drink. I've stopped drinking soft drinks and I'm drinking unsweetened tea and crystal lite products. For breakfast I drink a boost protein shake. I'm having a lot of back pain and can't exercise. 

Hi,  this is the beginning of my wls journey. I have met with the bariatric surgeon and I have been working on getting my bariatric surgery checklist completed. I've had one appointment with the physiologist. I have another appointment with him, the Nutritionist and the Surgeon this week. My PCP has signed off on the surgery and I'm so excited! The only thing that I am nervous about is, the Surgeon recommend that I have the RheunY, I'm sure that I misspelled that, anyway he wants me to have that surgery and after tons of research I've decided that I am going to have the VSG. So my plan is to tell him at my appointment that I am not going with his recommendations. But I am confident in my decision and if he isn't willing to do the VSG then I will find a bariatric surgeon that will. Except that I am praying that he will because I really like him and he comes highly recommended.
