Hello

Jun 24, 2010

I'm very new to this whole blogging/communication site thing so bear with me. The most I have is a facebook and that's only talking to friends or family that I know. Anyway, hello! My name is Crystal. I'm 20 years old (I know, younger than most that get gastric bypass surgery). I'm married to a guy who basically puts up with me, lol. We have a lot of ups and downs but that's okay. One I get my stuff back in order, then it will be time to work on my marriage. Now the highlight of my life, the reasons for all things good, and why I am getting this surgey is for my (just turned) 1 year old son, Ray! Being a mother is astounding and I couldn't ask for anything more amazing!!!

My all time heaviest weight was 250lbs (until I was prescribed synthroid). I've dropped 10lbs but remain at 240lbs, waiting for my upcoming surgery. I'm 5'1" and I wear about a 22-24 (way too big for comfort). As of now, I am on synthroid, B12, D3, fish oil, red yeast rice, and a multivitamin (I know, not heavy meds but definitely a few I'd like to stop taking after surgery). I am also on a c-pap machine for sleep apnea. I have serious varicose veins on my legs. My main reason for surgery is because I can only hold my beautiful baby boy or stand for less than 10 minutes at a time. I have an old back injury that has now (over the past few year especially) become crippling at times! Other than that are all of the obvious reasons why anyone would like to lose this kind of weight (I'm a young mom who's supposed to be living and I do nothing but wallow in my own misery). This surgery is going to take my life from misery to amazing! I am aware that it's not a miracle and can't fix all of my problems but learning to love me again (with the weight loss and the wonderful programs offered by the Blue Point Surgical Group) will allow me to take time to fix everything else.
