I am back at this site after a long absense. I have decided to have surgery after gaining 70# since I quit smoking 3-07. I also hit 300lbs and said this is ENOUGH! I have been heavy ALL my life, and I realized (after filling out my beginning paperwork) that I was on my first diet in the 5th grade! I was a paying member to Weight Watchers and was weighed in with my Dad and sis every week. And they too still struggle with their obesity. I have seen my dad lose and regain the same 150 - 200lbs. all my life. I don't want to yo-yo and I don't want to develop high blood pressure and insuline resistance that my dad and sis have. I am (reasonable) healthy now, so why wait until I am NOT healthy enough to get better!
I have prayed about this and I have given it to GOD. I am ready to do this. I have been saved for 4 yrs and I am trying to live in a way that is pleasing to God. I know that with my new life I will be better able to serve HIM! I will take care of the temple He gave me, and will participate in this process to bring HIM all the honor and glory as HE deserves!
