I was overweight for, hell, all of my life.  The teasing, the harrassment, the judgements that people made got tougher to excuse by the minute without feeling down on myself.  Finally, I decided it was time for a change and on August 8th I had my first of many appointments at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, Ma.  That one meeting changed my life.  I had come to the decision that I was going to have surgery on my winter break from college.  So there I was, dealing with classes and normal life... on top of it all worrying about the future post-surgery. I must admit that I thought it would be easy.  I was terribly wrong.  On December 19th 2006, I had laproscopic gastric bypass surgery.

1/14/07 - Almost a month later and I have lost over 25 pounds.  This has been a great journey for me.
