Question:
What kind of vitamins do Duodenal Switch patients take and when?

I take Calcium citrate, Vitamins A and D, and a multivitamin with minerals. My lab results determine the amount. Other than some current anemia related to blood loss during surgery, I am doing just fine. I have annual bone density studies which have been within normal limits and have no other systemic side effects from the DS exceppt incredible weight loss. Good Luck to you!

OOPS! That should read "blood loss after reconstructive surgery"...I am two and a half years post op and had NO complications from from the DS surgery....
