Question:
Anyone tried the exercise videos

If anyone has tried these exericise videos, "The Firm", please let me know what you thought about them, if you've had results & what kind of results. I think "The FIRM" line of fitness videos is amazing. I have used them on and off for years. When I have used them consistently I did have an increase in lean body mass and I had a noticeable improvement in my shape. Unfortunately for me, my eating habits have always been a hurdle, and so there is only so much working out can help with. I have the new series from TV and really like it. That stepup stool they have now is great. I used to use a normal step. I like a lot of their older videos. They are tough, but the combination of weight training and aerobics does a good job. ALSO, for the most part most (but not all) of their workouts are low impact... so even at almost 280 lbs I could at least sort of do them. Doing the FIRM alone I was able to loose about 40 pounds... of course now 4 years later and with two kids I have not been able to keep up work with these videos. I have been only able to squeeze in fitness walking, and am currently at about 259. My plan is to start using the FIRM workouts again post op. I give them two thumbs up. I was active on their forum when I was doing them, and I know that people got very good results from these.

I use the Firm Parts series tapes 6 days a week!!I love them I have seen excellent results. I bought the four pk of Firm tapes at wal-mart for 20.00. I use them faithfuly 6 days a week. I also add 30 minutes of stationary bike. I have lost 110 lbs so far!! My surgery was 8-19-02. My stomach is almost completely flat again, I was afraid I would have to have a tummy tuck.I highly recomend them!!! I have 5 children, so I do my workout routine early in the morning 5:30am. It's built up my endurance, toned my body and gives me energy for the rest of the day! Good Luck!! Beth
