Question:
Does anyone else still have pain upon eating?

I'm about 4 months out (open rny), and I still am at the stage of eating 1-2 oz three to five times a day. I'm having pain about 90% of the time when I eat in my pouch, and some nausea (and vomiting). I've had strictures three times, and this doesn't exactly feel like that. It's just an awful achy feeling for anywhere from 10-30 minutes after eating and even drinking water. (I dump, and this isn't dumping either.) I still can't do any poultry or other meats but am subsisting on cheese, soup, s/f jello, and protein drinks in very small quantities. Any ideas, help, or suggestions? Thanks all!    — Mary Ann B. I am 6mo post-op from the open RNY and I had similer problems which went away during the 5th month and now I eat a little more than before (4oz instead of around 2oz) and I have an appitite now. I would call your Doctor or Nutritionist if you keep getting sick though, I never did that but I got really crampy and they told me it takes a good 6mo to feel more normal and everyone is different. Good luck!

Not to scare you, but I had the same symptoms as you, and it turned out to be an intestinal blockage. It started out not that bad, but became progressively worse. Check out my profile for more details. Hopefully that's not what it is though. Good luck.
