Question:
When taking calcium, should we take extra Vitamin C ??

I have read in the library that we should take vit C with our calcium and not when we take iron. Does this mean we need to take extra vit.C ?? I am not sure if my Natachews(prenatals)contain iron?    — Dixie Chick (posted on June 23, 2003)

I take 500 mg of vitamin C with my iron because it increases the iron absorption. I've never heard of using it with calcium. Calcium citrate with vitamin D and Boron absorbs easily. Just make sure you don't take the calcium within 2 hours of the iron.
