Hi... you would put these sorts of things on there... your name, next of kin and how to reach them, your PCP or specialist (for whatever you just might be seeing a specialist for), if you have co-morb type disorders (diabetes, heart disease, epilepsy, etc.), ANY alergies to medicines. Things like that. Medic alert jewelry generally has just a "serial number" and a phone number to call, so that when a paramedic or emergency room personnel person calls, the person on the other end of the phone would be able to type in that serial number and come up with whatever information they need. Hope this helps.

Mine is similar to the other posters, mine says "Gastric Bypass, Place n/g tube with Endoscopy" and "no latex"...if you subscribe to the actual Medic Alert brand (35 dollars a year- includes your braclet or pendant), they will keep a database of all your emergency contacts, doctors, meds, medical conditions, etc....the bracelet has a phone number on it and says to call collect....they will fill in emt's or hospital workers to all your information.
