Question:
I've been experiencing pain in my legs for the nearly 2wks.

This week it progressed to the point where I can't sleep through it. It doesn't feel like it's muscle pain from exercise; more like it's actually my bones that are hurting. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I've left a msg for my surgeon. I'm nearly 8wks PostOp.    — [Deactivated Member] (posted on September 29, 2003)

Miz, I don't want to alarm you, but I would not wait for your surgeon to get back to you. You should get checked out right away. Leg pain can be a sign of blood clots and they are nothing to mess around with. It could be a serious problem.

I had this as well but i found out that i was not getting enough Potassium. I had a bannanna and that helped a bit but i also went and got some potassium pills as well just in case. I would still check with your Dr. though.

I've had achey leg pain on and off since surgery. My surgeon says that it can be caused by having low levels of potassium, thiamine or calcium. When I up my calcium the aches do decrease.

You may also be deficient in magnesium. I was having aches in my legs. My mother told me her doctor recommended magnesium for aches. I started taking it with my daily regime of vitamins and sure enough my legs quit hurting. Mary 9 months postop
