Question:
CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A GOOD PLASTIC SURGEON IN HOUSTON, TX?

I have Humana HMO and am looking into having abdominoplasty. I don't want to just open up the phone book and pick a name and that is what I have found myself doing. I was hoping that someone could recommend a good surgeon from your own experience. I did call one surgeon and was told up front that I would have to pay out of pocket for the tightening of the muscles because my insurance would only cover panniculectomy. Is this right? My insurance company says that they will pay for whatever is deemed medically necessary. How can the surgeon's office tell me that up front without ever meeting me and seeing what I need done? I had Humana,HMO also and I found a wonderful plastic surgeon by the name of Lisa D Santos. Her office is located at 1200 Binz #1030 near Park Plaza Hospital and her office number is 713-529-9020. Ask for Brenda or Nancy. They were very helpful thoughout the entire process for approval. Dr Santos did a full abplasty and breast lift for me on March 10,2004. Best wishes
