Question:
Has anyone out there had surgery with Dr Patterson in Portland, Or or with Dr Oh

I have not had my surgery yet,but Dr. Patterson will be doing it when I get my date. I really like her she explains everything really well,she tells you what she wants you to do before you can have the surgery and she has avery good after surgery program, she doesn't just turn you over to your pcp but does keep them informed as to what is being done, support group is required before surgery,There is a group on Yahoo that is for her patients only you can go there to ask specific questions of current patients both pre-op and post-op the web page is www.groups.yahoo.com/group/OSSGDRPATTERSON. I had my surgery with Dr. Oh. He told me at my consultation that he does not do lap at this time. He wants to hire someone and train them how to do it. But he is a very good surgeon, I like him a lot. I had open RNY on June 5 and am down 43#.

I'm scheduled for my consult with Dr Patterson in October. I'm on her mailing list at yahoo and can tell you that I have met many of her patients online and off.. one new friend just had her sugery last week, two more are scheduled for the end of July, fist of August. I researched doctors in Portland for a couple months, and in my humble personal opinion Dr Patterson centers her work around the WHOLE person.. she is a surgeon, but her practice deals with every aspect of this life change. I continue to be impressed by the information and support that her office provides. Best of luck to you in your search. There are folks here in Portland willing to lend an ear, a shoulder and sometimes even a place to sleep when out of town guests come to see Dr. P. ~Peace!
