Question:
Has anyone self paid for Dr. Alverdy if so how much?

Hi! I didn't self pay, but I had my Lap RNY by Dr. Alverdy in December 2000, and the total bill came to roughly $40,000. I believe that was on the high side because I had extra medical problems that needed attention also. Plus they put in a feeding tube and I was getting round the clock tube feedings which I think were very expensive. Plus, since I had insurance, I'm sure they billed more than the insurance actually paid. I would imagine you should expect it to cost roughly 20-25 K if you self pay. University of Chicago is kind of expensive. Good luck.
