I don't mean to flame but if you don't know what vits/minerals to take at 6 yrs post...you obviously did not do any research on your surgery. You should have learned this from day 1 from your surgeon and/or nutritionist. I had RNY and take 2 multi vitamins daily (w/ 27g of iron), 1 B12 sublingual, vitamin C, a cod liver oll capsule (has vits A&D), Biotin, 2 calcium daily and iron supplements during my period. If you have not done so, I highly suggest you visit your surgeon or PCP and have lab work done because you could be deficient in certain areas. I have labs drawn every year. You can never be too careful with your health. Please take your health seriously. Vitamins are for life.

Hi Anessa, thanks for your question. I am required to see my surgeon every year for a follow up, when was the last time you had one? I can't believe you have gone 6 years without vitamins and calcium? Are you having physical symptoms of a serious lack of vitamins or calcium? I would really be interested in knowing your story because of the importance they put on these two things from the very beginning. I am only 3 years out, but take Geratol once a day, and calcium chews 3 X a day. Some need other things, but this is it for me. I strongly advice you to see your surgeon, get blood work panels done on your vitamin and calcium and iron levels and ask their advice. You may be doing severe damage to your body. Taking vitamins now cannot repair any damage done to you, but it could help prevent further damage. You need a damage assessment and a plan girl, please see your surgeon or PCM right away. Take care, Patricia P.
