I am not sure what the cause of your heaves are, but it could be from whatever you had eaten before. Even if it's hours later. A quick call to your nutritionist or clinic should clear it up. Best of luck! hugs,Kim

Please contact your dr/surgeon. If you had lap band, if you continue to have the heaves you could cause it to slip... I'm not sure how long ago you had your surgery either... but it can't be good for anyone who had the rny or ds either.

I would get this about an hour after I eat something wrong. I also get it with some medications. If it is chronic it can be the sign of a stricture, band slippage, or an ulcer. All of which means you need to call the doctor who did the surgery for their recommendation.
