Question:
Experiencing hives since RNY any insight at to why?

I began experiencing hives within 3 days of my surgery. Now over a year out I still have them. I thought it might me the whey or soy. It seems to happen when I get too warm.    — mrsbobvilla (posted on April 5, 2010)

Have you contacted your dr? that would be the first thing... then start the process of elimination.... what have you had that is different? What about the after surgery meds... could this be a reaction to them?

Hives are an allergic reaction. Please see your doctor, as this is a sign of a serious condition. You will need to be treated for this. The cause will be hard to pin point, but I'm thinking it is from the drugs used during surgery.
