Question:
Insurance approval process.

I've completed the 6 mo wgt mgmt requirements and I'm pndg approval f/my insurance co (Blue Cross). Has anyone had their surgery at the UTMB Center for Weight Management in Galveston, Texas who has also used Blue Cross? Hi, My insurance company was blue cross/blue shield of alabama and would not pay for my surgery. I had to change my insurance to Cigna to get approved. I work at St. Luke's Hospital in the Medical Center and went to Dr. Sherman for my lap band from Baylor. If you are that close to Houston you should try Dr. Sherman....he is the best.

I have Blue Cross of California and I haven't head any problems so far. I don't live in your area though.

i have blue cross, yet iam in maryland The doctor sent the letter in for approval on a Monday and received it back on Wednesday of the same week with a approval. Good Luck.
