Question:
Has anyone been approved for Lap Band with BC HMO?

I have HMO Blue from BCBS of MA and was approved in less than 10 days.

My daughter was approved for wls with HMO. She is required to do the 6
months diet plan.

I have Healthnet HMO and it took 10.min to get approved. I interviewed 3
WLS doctors and picked the best. From my first appt to all 4 other consults
I had to get because I have alot other problems my doctor wanted to make
sure I got cleared and the total time spend on this took 3.5 weeks and the
insurance girl faxed all the info in and 10 mins later got a call and it
was approved.

I had BCBS of Florida and they had an absolute Plan Exclusion for all WLS
in 2006. I paid all expenses out of pocket. What state do you live in?

I have bc/bs hmo of illinois. I was approved in a week. The total process
started in 3/08 and I had my surgery 4/28
