Hi, Have you spoke with your DR.? Have you checked with YOUR ins. company? That is where all the answers will come from. Find out what your ins. requires to have the surg..and follow the list of things they tell you to do. Iam sure that was not the answer you hoped for but..I dont know what kind of ins you have. Best of luck.

I'm glad you are thinking about this now. When you have the surgery, you'll be setting a great example for your daughter so that she'll never have to deal with weight issues. Listen to Julie in the previous post. She is right in what she is saying. The only thing I would suggest is start checking out surgeons also.As much as your doctor knows, the surgeon can take the process a couple of steps farther. Also, you can call your insurance yourself so you can get the ball rolling. The only reason I suggest this is because my insurance told me one thing and told my insurance something else. Luckly, I told the surgeons office what the insurance co. told me and the insurance co. changed their tune. Good Luck in your quest. I wish you and your daughter well. You wouldn't regret it.

Ask the doctors staff for all the codes for the procedure and call your insurance company..they will tell you right away. Hopes this helps.
