Question:
anyone union with united healthcare Options PPO

My husband works for Pacific Gas and Electric..and is IBEW has anyone had problems getting approved with uhc options PPO?    — Betsy M. (posted on January 22, 2004)

I have Option PPO and they approved everything except for about $1700. They were a little slow in getting the approval, but once I was approved everything went smoothly. My policy has a WLS exclusion unless there is a diagnosis of morbid obesity,

My wife and I have uhc ppo . They approved my surgery, which was on oct 1 03. My wife just got her approval and will have surgery march 8. They are slow but pay pretty well. I have a seondary insurance so I had no out of pocket expensss. We will have to pay 2000 for my wifes surgery. Uhc is good to deal with.

I have uhc ppo options and got approval in 3 days. I had no exclusions, I just needed a diagnosis of morbid obesity. Good luck!

SORRY, BUT MY HUSBAND HAS UHC OPTIONS PPO AND THERE IS A WRITTEN EXCLUSION FOR WLS. IT JUST DEPENDS ON WHAT THE EMPLOYER CHOSE TO COVER. THEREFORE, I HAVE DECICED TO SELF PAY. I HAVE WLS IN MEXICO WITH DR AGUIRRE ON MAY 11, 2004 FOR $8500.00. YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT
