Question:
Has anyone had lapband surgery at a military hospital?

I'm trying to locate military hospitals that are currenty performing lapband (adjustable gastric band) surgery because Tricare Prime has already denied me coverage for the procedure. If anyone has had lapband surgery at a military hospital, I would defintitely like to know which hospital and where it's located.    — Randie (posted on August 26, 2006)

hey i too am tricae prime from what i understand tricare does not cover the band , anyway here at fort lewis they are going to start to do it in jan, from what the surgeon said, he is deployed right now but when he gets back he is going to get trained on it and start doing it. i hope this helped.

I know Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, Ca. does gastric bypass. My cousin had it her's done there.
