Question:
Need help finding someone to do my post-op fills

I had my surgery in Mexico by Dr.Arturo Rodriguez, but am having trouble finding someone to give me fills without the hassle about me having the surgery in Mexico and trying to charge me to much- it seems to punish me- for not using them .    — rgraves (posted on January 2, 2009)

I don't think they are trying to punish you. They are trying to be smart and careful. It is a safety and liability issue for the provider. I work for a medical malpractice doctor's office. If you weren't their patient they need a complete history on you, your surgery ect. before they can successfully treat you. Its not like they are an urgent care clinic treating you for a sinus infection. This is a minor surgical procedure and their are risks involved.

I actually got a list of doctors in my own area willing to work with me through their patient coordinator. I'm in SF Bay Area. Give Lori a call and see if she has anyone. As far as high prices, I also feel like we're being punished. Local doctors are going to play hard ball with you so get ready. However, everything comes out half price even with the expensive local aftercare. And I still feel better going to OCC since their doctors are soooooo much more experienced with lapband procedures. good luck. :-)
