You get sick, the sweats or just feel like an alien in your own body. It
happens because of sugar, eating too fast, drinking while eating or not
chewing food enough. If you haven't had it yet, you are lucky! It is your
pouch training you to rethink your eating attitude!

I had it once! I broke out in a cold sweat, I was shaking uncontrollably,
my heart was racing, I was very nauseous & dizzy. These feelings lasted
for about 45 minutes. It was horrible! It only takes once to learn your
lesson. My episode was caused from a very small amount of chocolate waaaay
toooo soooon! I always assumed "dumping" meant diarrhea. I would
have prefered that...I do believe! LOL

You had lapband surgery and that particular surgery is not asscoicated with
dumping syndrome. It occurs for those whose stomachs have been altered by
removing the acid producing part of the stomach. It is when undigested
sugars "dump" from the pouch into the small bowel causing pain,
vomiting, nausea, gas, sweating, sleepiness, foamies, diarreah...It's quite
unpleasant...
