i actually started my period right after surgery. both with my RNY and
plastic surgery. I was told that it was something about trama to the body
and throwing your body into your cycle. i doubt it will affect your
surgery date.. good luck!! its all worth it in the long run..

I started my period the morning of surgery right at the hospital when they
were preping me to go in. That is not a problem at all. They just wont let
you wear tampons in the hospital.

I started 2 days before and was so worried. I called my surgeon and he said
it was fine just let the nurse and them know when I got to the hospital. I
was no big deal!!

Like everyone has posted it's no big deal. Mine started right after
surgery (was 2 weeks early) and the nurses were prepared for it. They said
it happens more than you would guess.

I started three days before surgery. They wanted me to wear a pad during
surgery. The day after I went back to tampons. No worries. Laura

I woke from surgery with my period...Surgery often makes a woman start her
cycle whether it's due or not...if you get it, before surgery, at least you
are not shocked...if you get it during...docs are used to that...So don't
worry, just bring you favorite supplies just in case or use what the
hospital has.

I had my surgery June 18th and i went to use restroom just before they took
me for anesthesia.Came out with my period. I turned my call bell on and was
fretting and they smiled and said dont worry-- we have chucks.. That
simple.

Everyone said dont worry and that is true. I was worried too! Hey maybe it
will stop too. It is a good possibility!!! Good luck. You arent the first
