I would say that you had dumping syndrome. Try to stay away from those foods. I had a few bites of prime rib and I was sick for 3 days with your exact symptoms. I will never eat prime rib again and that was abiut 11 years ago. Dawn

Dumping. Stay away from rich foods. It doesn't digest that well before surgery much less after. Anyways, good luck. Also calm down that will help and tell the dr about the panic feelings on Tuesday. vinnigirl

Sounds like classic dumping. Your surgery is working. What a powerful dissencentive to not do that again. Feel better. Dawn Vickers, RN, BLC, CLC

My general dumping consists of literally dumping in the restroom. But I do get hypoglycemia with sugar. This consists of the racing heart, sweats, headache and if it's too much, even a quick nap because I can't even lift my head.

Yep...what they all said...Dumping! Isn't that just awful? It totally screws my pouch up for a day or two and I will often get a belly ache the next day too! You probably should have stopped at just a little taste! There is nothing that tastes good enough to go through that on purpose! LOL

Yep, that's dumping. I'll never try a little boiled custard myself again. Anything full of sugar gets me. Splenda also makes me dump, gets gas and diarrhea. Just wait til you don't chew something well enough and it gets a little stuck. You think your gonna die and don't even want to look at food for a couple of days. I don't mean to scare you but it's gonna happen as you get a little braver and start trying more. You're doing better than me though. I'm only 5 months out and have learned these hard truths the hard way.
