Question:
Has anyone else been scheduled to have rny surgery at 12 noon?

I am scheduled to had Laparoscopic rny at Baptist hospital in Columbia S.C. September 14, 2009 at 12 noon. I find that kinda strange being that most surgery's are usually early morning. I was told to be there by 10:00 am.    — Quandabadgirls (posted on August 12, 2009)

My surgeon had approx 6 patients that had surgery on the same day, I went at 10am, and my roommate went at 12:00. Those in neighboring hospital rooms went later. It's very normal. Good luck!

Yes, my surgery was scheduled for 12 noon, but I actually went in a few minutes earlier. Congratulations on your surgery date, and may you heal quickly and without any complications, like me!

That's not strange..depending on how many surgeries your surgeon performs in a day. I am having RNY (in augusta,ga btw)and I don't have to be to the hospiital until 1:30 pm

My surgery is scheduled for 12 noon on the 20th of August. But I will be in the hospital earlier to have a screen inserted to prevent blood clots due to DVT History in my family. My doctor likes to do this to prevent the chance of blood clots.

My Lap Band surgery was scheduled for 3pm this past Tuesday. I didn't get on the operating table until 530pm. Hardest part was the "no food or drink after midnight" rule, as I was begging for just a sip of water. Do NOT go against that rule, as it may cause complications. 12 noon should be a piece of cake for you. Good luck!
