Question:
Does liquid Zyrec have a lot of suger, Has it made anyone else dump?

Pre-op I used to take Allegra 180 but it was not available in chewable or liquid forms. So my PCM switched me to liquid Zyrtec until I can handle larger pills again. I had no problem with the Zyretc while I was still in the hospital or in the first few days I was home. Yesterday I took it no problem, but I noticed a bit of nausea. Today I take it and I really nauseated and I am lightly sweating. The PDR mentions a type of sugar in the inactive ingredients but it is second to last, so I thought that meant is a really small amount. Has anyone else had a problem with liquid Zyrtec post op?    — MagickalMom (posted on January 27, 2005)

I couldn't take the Zyrtec at all because of the sugar in it. Many liquid drugs have sugar in them, so be careful. Ultimately my solution was to go back to Allegra 180 and take 1 benadryl right before bedtime. Works great for me.
